Due to price war and competition, manufacturers have to compromise on quality of laptops. We have seen great models and best quality 3 to 5 years ago. Also many laptops were manufactured by US 3 to 5 years ago. Also may companies use to assemble them in USA, or they use to make them in Japan, Taiwan, Which were made with highest quality and standard and lasting for many years. All major companies like Dell, HP, IBM and many more, make 90% of laptops were made in CHINA and they use inferior quality of components to beat the competition.
People want to change their laptop models every 6 to 8 months. When a new model arrives in the market, they want to sell their old model for lot cheaper price and buy a new laptop. Not many people can afford this. If a laptop is serving their needs why should you change the laptop? Unless if you have more money to spend and satisfy your desire to upgrade to new model. So where all these used laptops go? They end up in the market as used or refurbished laptops.
So how a new laptop becomes a refurbished laptop?. After using a new laptop computer for several months’ people upgrade to a new laptops no because of working condition because of new models coming in the market. The process of retesting a used laptop by certified computer technicians which involves reinstallation of operating system, programs to run at optimal performance, replace some or many with new components and finally bring the laptop back to original factory settings and give life to the laptop and run for years.
One major difference between new and old laptop is cosmetics and beauty. Even if you buy a new laptop after using a month or 2 it will get scratches and signs of usage. Refurbished laptops undergo through quality checks and in depth cleaning and the laptop will be back to full working condition. Another major difference is speed. For example if an old laptop takes 2 to 3 minutes to boot up windows, an old used laptop may take 3 to 4 minutes. Not bad at all. Another consideration on used laptop is working speed. New laptops were designed to handle multitasking. What this means is, you can open several applications at once and work on them. For example you can open Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint at the same time you can open 3 windows of internet explorer, watch a DVD Movie, open image editing like Photoshop and edit pictures, open Acrobat reader, open online newspaper and all these 10+ applications people want to keep open all the time and switch between them when needed to save time. In order to do this kind of multitasking you really need a robust computer with lots of memory and lots of processor speed and faster wireless, large hard disk.
So if you want to run your laptop faster just open and use the application you work on and close it and reopen another one if needed. Doing this will avoid changing laptop every 3 months.
